Happy Earth Day!
Yesterday, our third graders had the opportunity to tour Praire Hill Sanitary Landfill in Morrison, IL and enjoy nature at Rockwood State Park. Students were able to learn how the landfill as well as learn about its daily operations. Students also learned about the importance of "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle", by playing a recycling game. Thank you to the staff at Prairie Hill for the excellent tour!
Preschool screenings are being held this Friday, April 25th, at the River Church in Prophetstown. Appointments are still available! Call or e-mail to set up your child's screening today!

A reminder for all preschool families: Tonight is the preschool spring concert at Tampico Elementary School. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the program starting at 6pm!
PES will be joining Tampico's Spring Program this year on Wednesday, May 14th at 6:00 pm. This program will be at Tampico Elementary School Gym. Please mark the date, and more information will follow in the coming week.

Third grade recently took a trip to Augustana College where they got to be “college students for a day”. They learned many interesting new things about geology, astronomy, and paleontology! We have many future scientists on our hands. It was a great day!

PES Spring Pictures- Tuesday, March 11th
Next Week, March 3rd-7th, will be Read Across America Week! We will be having dress up days to celebrate Reading next week!
This week we hosted a Sweethearts Dance for our preschool students and their families! Students came dressed their best and ready to dance the night away!
A big thank you to Danika Morgan with It's Poppin' Events for creating the perfect balloon photo-op for us! We had a great turn out and we hope everyone had fun!
Due to the forecasted weather, there will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12 for the PLT School District. We will continue to monitor the weather in the event there is an impact to the start of school on Thursday.
