PES students enjoyed The Amazing Anti-Bullying BMX school assembly this morning. The anti-bullying assembly focused on kindness, positivity, and the difference that one person can make. Thank you Matt Wilhelm for an inspiring, motivating, and fun morning.

PES would love to thank the family of former student Jason Dennis (Class of 95) for the donation of a wonderful assortment of books at every reading level. The students are very excited for all the donated books!

Tomorrow, November 29th, the PLT School District will once again share the Master Facilities Planning presentation with the community. The presentation will be from 5:30-7:00pm in the gym at Tampico Elementary School. All are welcome to attend.

Come join us for Family Reading Night on November 16th from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM. We will have a variety of activities for students to participate in on that night.

PES was honored to host a Veterans Day Assembly today! Thank you to all who came to honor those who have served and are serving!

Congratulations to Mrs. DeCrane and the third grade science classes on being awarded the Whiteside County Ag in the Classroom $250 Classroom Grant. We are so excited for the opportunities this grant will bring to our 3rd Grade Science Classes!

Please join us at the Prophetstown Elementary School for a Salute to our Veterans at 10:00 am on Friday, November 10th.

Today for science Mrs. DeCrane took 3rd grade outside to experience the magic of the Ginkgo Tree. They have been learning about different types of living things and their life cycles. An amazing detail about the Ginkgo Tree is that it loses all of its leaves in a day or less. The kids were very happy to get to see it happen and experience it!

Due to the weather we will be doing a shortened parade route. Our route will be: (1) Students will walk out the West Entrance onto 3rd Street (2) Students will walk on 3rd Street (3) Students will then walk on the Locust Street Sidewalk (4) Students will enter the playground, and go directly into the school We ask that parents line up on either side of Third Street or on the grass or by the cars on Locust Street. We will not be having parents on the playground as I want to get students into the school quickly.

Reminder: Early Dismissal On Tuesday, Oct. 24th and Thursday, Oct 26th- PK- PM Class: 2:10 pm K-3- 2:20 pm No School: Friday, Oct. 27th Picture Retakes are scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26th. PM Pre-K can come to the front office starting at 8:30 am.
