Reminder tonight is our K-3 Grandparent's Night at PES! The event will run from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM. This is an open house format so you may come anytime during that time period and do not need to stay the entire time! We can't wait to see everyone!

We are celebrating Grandparents a little differently this year! Our Grandparent's event will be Tuesday Night, September 10th from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM. We will have activities for all as well as the book fair will be open! We can't wait to see everyone!

With the excessive heat today, we understand that some parents may prefer to pick up their children from school rather than have them ride the bus. If you plan to pick up your child, please notify the office of your child's school as soon as possible.
Please also be aware that the reduced number of students riding the bus may lead to earlier drop-off times at home than usual.
Please take note of the changes to athletic practices and rescheduling of golf and cross country meets.

Yesterday the students had so much fun at Kilgour Park! They were able to work together to complete challenges and games, had lunch together, and then played on the playground! Thank you to PFS , parents, and staff for helping to bring sno-cones to our students and helping out with stations.
After a rocky start to our morning we were able to pull off Ag Day at PES! We are so thankful for the community partnerships and school partnerships that we have in this district. We were able to have TES K-3rd Grade students join us for Ag Day. Thank you to the following people and businesses that made this day special for our students: Mitchell Melons, Birkeys, Diane Baker (Ag in the Classroom), PHS FFA Organization, Sheryl VonHolton (VonHolton Farms), Mrs. Bealer.
Our students and staff are sheltered indoors at all of our buildings. Our pre-K students who take the bus from Tampico to PES are sheltered inside TampicoElementary. We will bus them to PES when the weather clears and it is safe to do so.
Today is Book Blast Delivery Day! Thank you to everyone who made this day possible for our students! Due to all the donations and everyone's help promoting EVERY student at PES will go home with 10 FREE books for the summer! We are so very excited for all of our students! It total we will be delivering 2,290 books to our students! More pictures to follow!

Thank you to the Ed Foundation for your support of our Tiny Town! Tiny Town is now open for Kindergarten students to use and enjoy. The kids are so very excited about having the opportunities to play that Tiny Town provides! We can not thank the Ed Foundation enough!
Today I had the honor of taking our Illinois Principal Student Leadership Award Winners: Mason Butts and Abby Retherford to the IPA Student Leadership Brunch. These students exemplify what it truly means to be a student leader, through example everyday in their interactions with others! Students are chosen for this award by displaying many postive characteristics, and how they treat others when no one is looking. It's not always what is most obvious, but how they conduct themselves daily. Congratualtions to our PES students: Mason Butts and Abby Retherford.
